OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized occupational, health and safety management system series standard. OHSAS 18001 is broadly known as the Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard which is a British standard intends to address occupational health and safety by identifying, managing and controlling occupational Hazard and Risks including compliance with the legislation that applies to organization’s activities.It can be applied to any type and size organization who intends to eliminate or minimize hazards/risks, occupational accidents and their consequences to the employee and stakeholders who can be exposed by such hazard/risks or accidents associated with its activities.
